Happy New Year!!! I couldn’t find a New Year’s Eve restaurant menu in Napa Valley that I was crazy about so I pieced together a get-the-hell-out-of-here-2020 spread to go with the Bollinger champagne I would uncork during a New Year’s Eve FaceTime chat with a dear friend in New York.
Caviar and shrimp cocktail from Whole Foods, crab cakes and deviled eggs from Oakville Grocery and a lemon tart from Bouchon were all I needed. I’m not staying up until midnight. I worked all day today and tomorrow is a workday as well. I could complain but I took off last week and I’m too grateful to have a job to do so. Happy New Year. May 2021 bring you blessings. Be safe.
