Coincidentally, a week ago, Visit Napa Valley released its 2023 Visitor Profile & Economic Impact Study, showing the the average age of the Napa Valley visitor has decreased from 46 in 2018 to 40 in 2023. Additionally, the number of Black visitors has nearly tripled, from 4% to 11% while Latino/Hispanic and LGBTQ visitors have each nearly doubled from 10% to 17% and nearly 4% to 8%, respectively.
I’ve noticed many more faces of color enjoying life in Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley for quite a while, which is one of the reasons I wanted to start Napa Valley Noir, a service designed to showcase the luxurious side of both regions to a diverse clientele. As an insider, I’m using my connections to open doors to an undiscovered side of Wine Country, curating experiences beyond expectations!
And in celebration of August being Black Business Month, I’m especially proud to have launched my business in August and contribute a portion of proceeds to Wine Unify, an organization close to my heart that supports diversity in the wine industry.
