My goodness how time flies!
I can’t believe I haven’t posted anything since November. I do have a good reason: The Jet Set Pets. My pet project, literally, finally officially took off in March.
My luxury travel site for pampered pets on the go is a constant work in progress and will continue to take an inordinate amount of time. For now I’m so proud of what my team, which includes talented marketing guru Regina DiMartino, and I have built.
If you haven’t visited the site yet, please do. Not only is it beautiful with a fabulous icon (thanks Kimb Manson) and dazzling illustration (Marina Rankovic) but equally functional and informative thanks to the brilliant mind of Clint Crisher, who is as creative (it was his idea to have me perched on the plane’s wing for the illustration) as he is up on the latest of what it takes to build a site that draws visitors.
The Jet Set Pets is full of terrific information, regardless of whether your pet travels first-class or coach, by car or train or only to the local dog park. It’s a place where pet lovers can gather to exchange ideas in the Forum, pets can have virtual play dates in the Community and businesses can reach consumers in the Directory that gives back 10% to charities.
In time I would like to create The Jet Set Pets Foundation to provide free and low-cost veterinarian services for those in inner-cities.
But that’s down the road. For now, my focus is continuing to deliver the most up-to-date and essential information to pet lovers around the world and presenting it in the most user-friendly manner possible. Feel free to post your comments and suggestions on the site.
And now that The Jet Set Pets is off the ground, I hope to update this blog on a regular basis. I love sharing my thoughts with you and writing about my experiences as I travel around the world.
Lucy and I take off for Spain in a couple of days then will head to France and onto Italy, our adopted country. I can taste the Bellinis now. Check back for my witty posts or better yet, subscribe so you don’t miss out on reading about our adventures.
Arriverderci!
